Professor Eva Baker

Professor Baker is Professor of Educational Psychology and Social Methods for the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and will assume the presidency of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in 2006.

She is director of UCLA's Centre for the Study of Evaluation and co-director of the National Centre for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing.

Professor Baker has also served as president of the Educational Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association, and as a member of the National Council on Education Standards and Testing, she was chair of the Assessment Task Force.
