Preparing to assess
Despite the increasing pressures on assessors to deliver a high level of accuracy across a growing number of examinations and tests, almost half (44%) said that they develop new materials each year to help them cope with the challenges they face. Further, 32% relied on self-help to improve their practices. These time consuming tasks demonstrate a need for assessors to be offered further support, such as annually updated guidelines and alert materials on forthcoming changes.
