Membership grades
Overview
The Institute offers a range of membership grades, corresponding with different levels of qualifications and experience.
Individuals achieving the grades of Fellow, Member or Associate are entitled to vote in Institute elections and can use designatory letters after their name (eg MCIEA for Members).
Please locate (from the list below) the membership grade that best suits your qualifications and assessment-related exerience, and click on the 'More about.' hyperlink. You will then be taken to a more detailed grade-specific page which outlines:

Associate (ACIEA)If you have 1-3 years' experience in educational assessment, you should consider joining as an Associate Member. |

AffiliateAffiliate Membership is open to anyone with an interest in assessment, regardless of qualifications and experience. |

Student MemberIf you're pursuing a relevant course of study, you could join the Institute as a Student Member. |

Full Member (MCIEA)Full Membership is for more advanced assessors, able to demonstrate at least three years' educational assessment experience including at least one years' experience at Team Leader level or above. This membership grade will be available from May 2007. |

Fellowship (FCIEA)Fellowship is available to the most experienced and expert practitioners in educational assessment. This membership grade will be available from May 2007. |
