19 September 2005. The Institute of Educational Assessors (IEA) announces its company members the subscribers and hence the legal owners of the independent not for profit organisation:

Lord Sutherland of Houndwood who was Her Majesty's Inspector for Schools in England from 1992 to 1994 and founder of OFSTED.

Professor Alison Wolf the Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector management at King's College in London, as well as a visiting professional fellow of the Institute of Education

Professor Eva Baker is Professor of Educational Psychology and Social Methods for the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and will assume the Presidency of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in 2006.

Graham Soles Head of Brighouse High School, West Yorkshire and a member of the Independent Examinations Appeals Board of England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
